Training Opportunities for Local Businesses
The Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce helps connect businesses with workplace education and training opportunities that support skill development, business operations, and workforce growth.
These courses are offered through the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration three times a year: Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters.
Fall course registration is now open, providing businesses and employees with new opportunities to enhance their skills and strengthen workplace success. Space is limited, and class sizes are a minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 12 participants.

QuickBooks Level 1: Free Workplace Education Fall 2026 - Wednesday Morning (Waitlist)
QuickBooks Level 1 will show you how to set up and manage your business finances using QuickBooks Online. This course covers core accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliations and year-end procedures.
HR Essentials: Free Workplace Education Fall 2026 - Friday Morning
HR Essentials provides a practical introduction to human resources for businesses of any size. Learn how to build effective HR practices and access tools and templates to recruit, retain and engage employees in today’s workplace.
Transformational Leadership Level 1: Free Workplace Education Fall 2026 - Thursday Morning
Transformational Leadership Level 1 builds practical skills for leading effectively in today’s workplace. Explore leadership styles, building trust, leading change and creating a respectful workplace, along with proven leadership principles from Maxwell and Covey.
