Cwtch is a 700 square foot, fully licensed restaurant with adjoining 700 square foot Gift Shop. We currently have 70 Independent Vendors represented in the Shop – 60 of which reside on Cape Breton Island. Cwtch is a Welsh term, loosely meaning a warm hug – it means more than that, however. It is about feeling wanted, loved and included – these traits are foundational principles of Cwtch. We provide a welcoming and inclusive space for not only the patrons of the shop, but also the many very talented artists that Cape Breton has to offer. We offer good food, exquisite cocktails, one-of-a-kind gifts and an atmosphere where everyone feels wanted and safe.
